My interest in photography began in 1986 when my first “on the road” VHS taping was aired on our local CBS affiliate television channel. Mancelona Chamber of Commerce was sponsoring the annual Buck Pole contest, so I brought the camera along and took some video. That night, my work aired on television.

Although I still take digital video, my primary focus has been on digital still photography. As a freelance photographer and journalist, I have represented several newspapers and television stations, oftentimes shooting community events, human interest, and feature images for articles, fire and accident scenes for investigation purposes, and more. Over the years I have expanded my photography work to include High School sports action – football, volleyball, basketball, track and field, cross country, wrestling, baseball, softball. My work is primary in the Ski Valley Conference, and schools including Alba, Bellaire, Central Lake, Ellsworth, Forest Area, Gaylord St. Mary, Johannesburg-Lewiston, Kalkaska, Mancelona, Onaway and Pellston.

With technology advancing the way it is, the possibilities are almost endless when it comes to creating special effects and personalized products. Mouse pads, books, proof portfolios, clothing, magnets, key chains, coffee mugs, posters, trader cards and many other every-day favorite items are just a photograph and click away. With our library of thousands of photographs we have cataloged over the years, chances are if you are from the Mancelona area, we have your bright smile on file!

I am most proud of the photography books available for many occasions. I’ve created personalized backgrounds, page layouts and designs for sports books, family keepsakes, and other occasions. For example, I can build a book of your athlete’s high school sports photos from 9th through 12 grade, personalizing every page with text, graphics, colors, and layout. What a beautiful gift for your senior’s graduation! I have samples available to show you.

Also available are slide shows with music of your choices. These can be for senior graduation open houses, funerals, and many other occasions. They are stored on a thumb drive and can play from y our laptop or television equipped with a USB port.
